Physical Therapy Services
Physical therapy treats mechanical dysfunctions of the body. This differs from wellness in that physical therapy is designed to restore function and treat a medical condition. For example, if you can run up and down a hill, get in and out of your car, perform all activities required throughout a normal day, you will likely need wellness. If you have a loss of function such as pain waking you up at night, inability to use stairs, get dressed/undressed by yourself, cook yourself a meal or tolerate sitting/standing more than 15 minutes, you will likely need physical therapy. If your physician or non-physician provider issues a prescription for physical therapy, then physical therapy is what you will need.
